I have added to my collection of tools this weekend, and managed to get myself a vintage press.  This is something I have been wanting for a long time and managed to find one on eBay.

The price of this press was really good, and it’s just the right size for my desk space.  The size of the plates is enough to press up to A4 paper size, which is more than enough for me.

My wife and I had a road trip from London to Norwich and the trip was a little over 200 miles.  But we had a great day together and had a look around Norwich City before making our way home.

I’m going to be trying out the press shortly because I managed to pick up a pad of sketch paper from the car boot this morning at Great Amwell.

It’s a sketch pad by Rowney, and from what I can see, this sketch pad is from the 1960/70’s.  A couple of the pages have been used but apart from that the paper is in great condition to be used in a bookbinding project.

I’ll be posting more updates on how the binding goes with this paper!

Thanks for reading, and hope to see you again!
